Thanks for summoning the courage to ask for help. To protect your anonymity and ours, and before we can provide you with information about meetings, please review the newcomer resources to give you a better idea of SA (and perhaps not another recovery program) is what you want.
Before we direct you to a closed meeting, you’ll need to answer these questions:
- Are you a legal adult?
- How did you learn about SA?
- What prompted you to contact us and are you here for the purpose of your own recovery?
- What do you hope to gain from our fellowship?
- Are you willing to become sexually sober as SA defines it?
On the message you leave on our confidential hotline, please speak slowly and clearly. Please provide your first name only, your phone number, when the best time to reach you is and if it’s okay to leave a message for you.
In the absence of guidance on whether we should leave a message or not, we will err on the side of caution and not leave one. To protect our anonymity, the phone number of the hotline volunteer who responds may be blocked. We will make multiple attempts to reach you; if it seems like a telemarketer is trying to contact you, it may be us. 🙂
